But it's easier to play on than a Switch game that uses single joycon controls. The spacing/layout and materials are faithful to the Game and Watch series of devices, meaning that they are a little bit closer than a regular NES/SNES controller. The buttons are rubbery instead of having the plastic finish, so my guess is that they will wear down and discolor pretty easily, which is how those worked back in the day. I was pleasantly surprised that it was fine to play for about half an hour, although with the tiny screen and my lack of skillz, I died in totally embarrassing and stupid ways. I thought the ergonomics of it would be awful, and with my 40+ year old meat claws, the OG NES Box controller is hellish to use for any amount of time.
